What Is Kinship Foundation

Kinship is a charity organization established with the vision of serving the differently abled members of our society. With the first centre in Tirur, Malappuram, Kerala. Kinship aims to provide quality professional services to those in need and assist them to become fully-functioning, independent members of the society. With extensive research and a dedicated team of doctors, volunteers, nurses and therapists, Kinship strives to provide a space where the holistic development of each member is prioritized

Treatments We provide

Occupational therapy (OT) is a branch of health care that helps people of all ages who have physical, sensory, or cognitive problems. To do this, they use everyday activities, exercises, and other therapies. OT helps kids play, improves their school performance, and aids their daily activities.

Physiotherapy is treatment to restore, maintain, and make the most of a patient's mobility, function, and well-being. Physiotherapy helps through physical rehabilitation, injury prevention, and health and fitness. Physiotherapists get you involved in your own recovery.

Speech therapy employs specialized techniques to help individuals with speech disorders improve their communication skills and overcome language defects. This form of therapy focuses on managing speech,language,communication,swallowing disorders in both children & adults.

Kinship team includes an on-call doctor who addresses both immediate and long-term medical issues of members. This ensures that members receive timely & full medical care, addressing their immediate needs while also providing ongoing support for their long-term health & well-being.

The ancient Indian practice of Yoga has proven useful in enhancing the mind-body connection in practitioners. Kinship provides Yoga training by qualified professionals for all its members to improve their physical strength and mental well-being.

A holistic treatment is incomplete without a healthy approach towards food. Thus, Kinship provides a consulting dietician who monitors the diets of all members. With a wholesome diet plan and weekly inputs, the dietician ensures that members receive necessary nutrition through their meals..

We offers professional counselling services to enhance the mental well-being of its members. Utilizing paced counselling sessions, one-on-one guidance, and group motivational classes, our goal is to cultivate happiness and personal growth in our members.

Play therapy enables people to express their experiences and feelings through a natural,self-guided, self-healing process. Kinship makes use of Play Therapy as a community-building activity that let members socialize, get to know each other and aid each other in their healing.

Palliative care is a holistic approach that provides specialized medical care for people with serious illnesses. It focuses on provide patients with relief from symptom, pain and stress of a serious illness- what the diagnosis and aims to improve the quality of life for both the patient and the family.

Located in Tirur Malappuram district, Kinship has been bettering the lives of dozens of physically disabled children, youth, and the elderly for the last six years. Since its conception the centre has turned the lives around of numerous people who had previously lost all hope in life. To continue smooth operations of the center while offering all these services for free, Kinship requires a steady stream of funds every month. Including the therapies, nurses salaries, and the rent, the center incurs a monthly expense of about 1.5 lakh rupees. The centre has been functioning so far with the donations and generous support of local residents and well wishers within the country and outside.

Our services are absolutely free because the organization motto is to give hope and help at free of cost, like our parents do. It’s all about service.

We provide most of the services needed for a disabled inmate like Doctor’s care, occupational therapy, physio therapy, speech therapy, counselling, yoga and meditation, palliative care, rehabilitation, dietitian service, play therapy, education and special education, behavioral and psychotherapy. All these services are provided by kinship.

Yes, we provide free transportation around 10 kilometers on four wheelers and three wheelers by trained drivers.

Of course, they are experts because they are well trained and practiced for one year and most of them are post graduates and certified.

Yes of course, kinship is certified by Government and has legally approved under section 80G and 12 A.

Our top-level management, the board of directors are the fundraisers of our trust they raise the fund needed for our trust as donations from the people who are willing to donate.
